Born in Knoxville, Tennessee, Penny relocated to Leo, Indiana, and then settled in Marion, Ohio. She completed her education at Marion Pleasant High School before pursuing studies in organic chemistry and microbiology at Ohio State University. Eventually, she returned to Sevier County, Tennessee, where she has lived for over three decades. Penny spent ten years in Gatlinburg’s service industry, and she used savings—literally cash from under her mattress—to make a 20% down payment on her first house, sparking a lifelong passion for real estate. A devoted animal lover and nature aficionado, Penny takes nature walks almost every day. She loves to volunteer and is deeply invested in her family and friends. Penny became a licensed real estate agent in 2002 and founded Monarch Realty in 2018.
